Screen Actors Guild Awards 2012 Fashion

You can't escape red carpet fashion when awards season rolls around. I love seeing who's wearing whom, who's taken risks, who looks amazing and who should've just stayed at home.
My favourites of the SAG Awards 2012:

Viola Davis was a glowing goddess in Marchesa
I loved the gold detailing and the white looks so pure against her gorgeous skin.

Emma Stone looks dainty in Alexander McQueen
I'm not the biggest fan of these of  these dresses as they can look overly girly but Emma pulls it off. Plus i'm slightly biased as I'm in love with anything Mcqueen. Extra points for not over accessorising.

Rose Byrne took a risk wearing this Elie Saab jumpsuit.
This is a love/hate look as most risk outfits are. I think it fitted her perfectly and i love the intricate  beading.

Natalie Portman knows what works for her and she makes no mistake in this Giambattista Valli gown.
I love the deep wine colour and you can't see  in this photo but the Harry Winston earrings match the dress perfectly.

I love the deep neckline of this Carolina Herrera dress on Dianna Agron
The magenta is beautiful against Dianna's porcelian skin and her fresh make up and braided up do pulls the whole look together.

Naya Rivera looks sultry in this Naeem Kahn dress.
The plunging neckline shows just enough cleavage (there's a fine line ladies!) It hangs flawlessly against her body and the beading on the dress is bang on trend.

Emily Blunt stood out, in a good way, in this stunning bright green number from Oscar de la Renta.
It could've easily went wrong on the wrong skin tone but she pulls it off effortlessly with no fuss hair and jewellery.

I was shocked at how good Ashlee Simpson looked in Jenny Packham
The perfect mix of gothic, retro glamour.

Other note worthy mentions are Berenice Bejo's champagne Ralph Lauren gown, Emilia Clarke in Chanel and  Angelina Jolie in a slick Jenny Packham dress

What were your favourite looks of the night?

Topshop Treats

Hopefully going shopping today and before i go shopping i like take a look at shop's websites just to see if there's any pieces that catch my eye that i can keep a look out for. I went onto Topshop's site and seen a few bits that i liked so thought i'd share them.

1. Reptilian textures were all over the spring/summer catwalks and this texture teamed with the bright green colour makes it a perfect accessory for brightening up an outfit (and a dull summer day!)

2. I normally steer clear of bold patterns but i'm liking the look of these leggings. Plus the fact that it's grey and black makes it even more wearable.

3. This is one of the sale pieces so not sure if it'll still be in the store but if it is i'll definitely be picking up this cute sesame street night tee. For seven quid i think it's a bargain!

4.As you might of read in my last post i have become obsessed with shoes. These look like they're pretty high and for someone who's about 5"8 i tend to shy away from super high heels but i could make an exception for these. At £85 this wouldn't be an impulse buy (i wish though!) but a girl can dream, right?

5. I haven't bought a pair of jeans for a while and i don't have a pair of dark indigos and the fact that the name of these include 'supersoft' makes them even more covetable.

6. We're still in the midst of winter and i'm already thinking of clothing for summer; i wore loads of crop tops last summer and this top will go perfectly with a pair of high waisted navy shorts i have.

7. This is from the 90's grunge collection. I have a sweat top similar to this from h&m in navy and i love it so this one will no doubt be added to my collection of comfy sweat tops.

I find shops go through stages where they have lovely stuff in their stores then a lot of clothing i don't like. Which shops are you loving at the moment?

Spring/Summer Statement Shoes

Recently i've become completely obssesed with shoes. Here are some of my faves from the Spring/Summer 2012 catwalks.

Smoking hot Prada stilettos.

Shattered mirror at Rocha.

Sophisticated sparkle at Gorgio Armani Prive.

Completely impractical but i do love these McQueens.

Mirror soles at YSL.

Thick heels and solid colours at Celine.

Tattoo inspired shoes at Jean Paul Gaultier.

Animal print and geometric shapes ruled Balenciaga's catwalk.

Cavalli's carved creations.

Strappy, solid, shiny shoes at Bottega Veneta.

Rodarte metallics.

Most shoes were strappy with solid colours, geometric shapes and shiny materials. I think my favourite is a tie between the Prada stilettos and those amazing Cavalli's. What one's caught your eye?
