Popped down to my local shopping centre with my mum earlier on today and thought i'd put up what i purchased.
Nothing special or amazing, apart from the prices which i'll get on to further down, but sometimes it's nice to just see what the shops have in stock and window shop instead of purchasing loads (which i wish i could do and subsequently have to stop myself from doing when i go shopping).
You're probably thinking why I picked up three shower gels, no it's not because i am smelly, but because i am absolutely in love with Original Source Showers Gels; not only do they smell amazing but they use natural fragrances and essential oils so they don't irritate my eczema like most shower gels that smell like Original Source do. I rely on the lemon and tea tree and lime gels to give me an extra early morning boost and the shea butter and honey gel is so soothing and comforting, lovely on a cold day. The best part of the purchase is that these were 99p each. Yep, Superdrug have Original Source discounted from the regular price of £2.29 for a 250ml bottle to just 99p. What a bargain! I am so tempted to pick up more. If you haven't tried them yet go to your local Superdrug and give them a sniff, they smell so good. There is such a variety of scents you're sure to find one you like and for 99p you can hardly go wrong!
My next bargain is a £1 Mascara from Boots. I was pleasantly surprised when i received my monthly Boots Advantage Card Vouchers to see one of the vouchers entitled me to get a 17 Wild Curls Mascara which normally retails for £6.29 for just £1! I love my bargains and this was one i was not going to turn down. I tried the mascara when i got home and i have to say it's not that bad. It's slightly gloopy but it gives good enough coverage and some volume and i'm not going to complain when i got it for a pound. If you haven't got a Boots Advantage Card i highly recommend you get one. They are free to apply for, you can get great deals with the vouchers they send you and the points quickly add up which you can then use to purchase products from Boots.
Which brings me to my last purchase Argania Organic Moroccan Argan Hair Oil. The ends of my hair are in such a state from bleaching them they need a lot of conditioning and treating to keep them from looking and feeling frazzled. I have heard nothing but good things about Argan Oil so it's been on my shopping radar for a while now and when i seen i had enough Advantage Card points to pay for one i sweeped a bottle lovingly into my arms and marched over to the till waving my Advantage Card at the assistant. I was itching to smell it for the duration of my shopping trip and as soon as my foot was through my front door the lid was off. It's has wonderful warm vanilla-ry tones that are so subtle you could easily use it on not only dry hair but on your skin too. I say this as some hair treatments such as Ojon tend to have a strong, almost overwhelming fragrance which can be off putting to some but you can use this without feeling like your smelling whole rooms up.
Now i'm off to get my makeup kit sorted and relax for the evening as i've got to be up bright and early, 6.30 am to be precise, to assist at a wedding.
Have you tried any of these products? Got any great bargains over the past few weeks? Have you got a Boots card? Let me know your thoughts and opinions!

Nail Rock Rocks?
When i was out shopping a couple of days ago i seen packets of Nail Rock Nail Wraps in quite a few shops. Nail wraps have become very popular recently mainly as it means you can have colourful designs on your nails in a few minutes without the hassle of using nail polish or nail art pens. I remember i got a nail foil kit years ago for my birthday but it wasn't very good. Or maybe i was just doing it wrong! Whatever it was i'm now curious to get my hands on some of these nail wraps to see if they've improved. I'm liking the look of these two packs.
'Spots and Stripes' pack. These would look very impressive on anyone's hands. I like how there is so much detail on each design.
I also seen on Nail Rock's website that they do eye and lip 'tattoos'. Would love to try out these eye ones. Think would look great if done right.
Going to keep an eye out, excuse the pun, for the eye liner pack (they photo at the end) as that has four designs in it!
They are reasonably priced with the nail wrap packs selling for £6.65 on the Nail Rocks website and the eye tattoos from £5.99.
Have you tried any of these or something similar? What did you think? I'd love to know :)
'Tattoo' pack. This pack is so cute. Love the pastels and retro designs.

What I Looked Like Today
Decided to do an outfit post because one, i actually made an effort to put make up on today and two, so that you can see the person behind this blog. Hopefully it won't put you off! Please excuse the awful quality of the photos. I had to use my webcam and the lighting was rubbish.
I don't really make too much of an effort with clothing during the winter choosing warmth and comfort over style and appearance so probably won't do many of these outfit posts. I wore a jumper dress that i got from Primark last year. Had to wear this belt from New Look as the jumper is massive and totally unflattering; makes you look ten times bigger! Paired it with some black leggings from H&M, though i would've preferred red leggings to pick up on the red detailing on the jumper. Toughened it up a bit with a leather jacket i bought from Covent Garden Market and some biker boots i got from Punkyfish. Kept make up simple with a flick of Collection 2000 Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner and a bit of red Rimmel lippy in Alarm. Tried a bit of No7's Airbrush Away Primer too, so far so good. And a miracle happened as i managed to sort out all my make up. Each product has it's own box now so hopefully this'll stop my desk looking like Boots has exploded on it.
Hope you're all having a good weekend so far!

No Such Thing As Too Many Nudes
I have a confession to make. I love nudes. Before you think i've gone loopy let me explain. I can't remember never not being interested in make up. From a little girl i've always enjoyed trying out my mum's cosmetics and as i've gotten older purchasing products. I own an array of lipsticks, foundations, blushers, mascaras, eye liners and eye shadows. I especially love palettes and i'm a sucker for nude palettes. You know the ones that contain creamy caramels, delectable dark browns and all the irresistible hues inbetween; like a chocolate box for the face. When i heard of the new Bobbi Brown collection my ears pricked up in excitement and when i saw the Ultra Nude Eye Palette it was love at first sight.
As fate would have it my mum had on the shopping channel QVC, always a bad for our wallets, when up popped the palette. I was sold there and then and the icing on top of the cake, or should that be ribbon on top of the chocolate box, was there was three easy payments of £13. Sold.
Do i need the palette? To the untrained eye the answer would be no.
However brown comes in so many different shades and undertones that every palette differs. And the crazy thing is all of these are constantly being used depending on if i want matte or shiny, natural or dramatic looks.
The 'Bobbi' palette isn't the only palette I've lusted after. You may have read my previous post about Kat Von D's 'Saint' palette and here's some others I've obsessed over at one time or another.
So as you can see i have a slight obsession with brown and cream eyeshadows. What beauty product takes up the biggest percentage of your collection?

A Quest For True Romance.
So i've had a little girl crush on Kat Von D for quite while now. I just love her style, attitude and her artistry. One thing i always noticed about Kat is her amazing make up (especially her eyeshadow) so when i found out she had a make up line i jumped for joy until i realised it's, as far as i'm aware, only sold in America. Since then i have been on a quest to find her True Romance Eyeshadow Palettes.
I love all of the palettes and think they have a fab range of colours but if i had to choose one i'd play it safe and get the 'Saint' palette as i always wear neutrals. Though i think the limited edition 'Mi Vida Loca' palette is amazing.
The only place where it seems i can get a hold of these palettes is Ebay but i am so wary of buying from there and the prices are way higher than the original price of $36; i've seen some being sold for £40+. If anyone knows of any good sellers or websites that do ship to the UK then please let me know! I'll be forever in your debt.

Re-tales (geddit like retail but reTALES...nope? don't worry)
Got to work without being drenched today. Had to get the tube instead of walking from Charing Cross. I did miss my walk actually. Sometimes it's nice to just have some time to yourself to just think.
Decided that retail is not for me. As much as i love shopping i don't think i could be a sales assistant for the rest of my days. I find the days too repetitive and for someone like me who gets bored quickly i need to do something that will keep my mind active. I hate just standing at the till. Ecen though i'm getting paid i feel like i'm just wasting time! I think a career as a make up artist or actress is definitely the way to go for me. I need a creatively stimulating career.
The good thing about working at Boots is that time to time we get samples of make up. So today i tried on the FibreLash mascara. I'm sure you have probably heard of it but if not it's basically a mascara and fibres that when put together should make your eyelashes longer. I have to say i am blessed with quite long eyelashes so i didn't see much improvement in that aspect. It defintely made my lashes look thicker. You might be able to see what i mean in this awful photo.I nearly blinded myself taking that photo. I forgot the flash was on and could see white flashes for the next five minutes haha. Anyways back to the post, would i pay £35 for it? In one word no. I'm sure a mascara for a much cheaper price would do the trick. No7 have a new mascara coming out soon so hoping to get a sample of that and at £12 it's much more affordable!
